1. Continue romancing Laurolyn. If the mood is right make love to her.

2. As he has proof we have no right no hold it from him. Give him the Sword Frimfrang. Ask in turn if he would consider joining our nation.

3. The Blackwood Forest has settled into its new size very well and it now time to once again expand it even further. All those attuned to nature work a great spell to expand its borders once more. Once this wood stretched from the ocean to the mountains, and it will do so again.

RESPONSE
1. One very intimate sexual experience later, you feel young, alive, fresh, vibrant when you wake up next to Laurolyn with Laurolyn still asleep cuddled up next to you.

2. He takes Framfing, but says he must return to his own people. He then leaves.

3. About a week after another massively huge green mana draw, a rider garbed in slightly shining white attire and riding a white horse presents himself to you, the rider, an elf from the far western lands, presents to you a summons from Celestayna, a goddess who lives among the elves as their High King's Queen, which means she is not only a goddess, but the most senior and authoritative queen in their civilization. So getting a summons like that is sort of a huge deal. Answering the summons would take some traveling, since it means going to the crystal palaces by the sea, at Elemnin-nandrod ("Crystal castle of great beauty").

Over the course of my stay with the sloth people, I have come to appreciate the natural order of things much more.
1-2-3: While still performing whatever task they require of me, I ask them to educate me in their ways, in order to be more like them. It could be that some attuning to the natural harmony is what I've been missing from my life. I've never had a goal before, but now it seems quite obvious to me that nothing could be more important than maintaining and defending the natural harmony.

(Now chaotic good, following the flow of nature. Quite hippy. If'n you don't mind.)

Bonuses
Chief - Social status. This is marked by tattoos on a bugbear's arms, and is obvious to any bugbear who looks.
Warlord - You are roughly level 5 fighter already.

1-2-3. A spell, a single spell spelt the doom of my entire army, the months I spent assembling it… And the years I spent bonding with and uniting my tribe, all of it, wasted. Now I am in a Fomorian cage, prisoner to the bastards that drove us into the lands of the mist elves, they knew we would run into them, they brought about our downfall, we were a joke to them, they will come to regret that decision. I Graxis the Indomitable, Lord of the Bugbears do swear that in the name of all realms and all gods, in the name of my ancestors and all who have died under my command, that vengeance will be had, I will conquer the Fomorians, I’ll take their kings black heart and with it my crown will be forged, I Graxis the Indomitable will rule them all.

When my captors come they will see not a scared little lamb cowering in its cage, but the jaws of a great and terrible beast, poised and ready to devour them all, they will look into my eyes and they will see a future, their future, either the Fomorians join me in the creation of my new horde or they suffer and their corpses serve as a warning.

1-3:"Well seeing as this city doesn't have the resources to either pay your tribute nor take you in a fight, I'm down to be a vassal. However I'd like to remain in control of this city. I've put a lot of work into getting it put back together and would like for it not to have gone to waste."

RESPONSE
You are taken before your people by several ultra-powerful Wights. It is declared before them that they are now vassals and shall pay a tax in monies or in services every two months, and that they shall be allowed some limited autotonomy. The primary command from the Lich Lady you've sworn vassalage to is to conquer the rest of the drow kingdoms and unite them into a single empire. It is privately explained that you will be the lich lady's public face, and that you will seem to be the empress, but that you will in fact have no authority at all outside of what the lich lady decides.

During the public announcement, a rune in Ancraig Dagdor, the language of the truly ancient undead, commonly called "death speech", is burned into your for-arm. After that, 300 ghosts and 50 Wights are garrisoned in your city, the rest of the army departing.

The people do not like it, and already there are whispers and intrigues. Your city is considered occupied by the people.

Fair warning: when ghosts kill something, a sizable fraction of the beings they kill rise moments later as ghosts, don't try to fight them with something that they'll kill a lot of.

I have been given all the responsibilities of a ruler with none of the perks. What I'd like for you to do is go out into the city, and show the people I'm still in charge. Don't need these fuckers rebelling because they think I'm weak"
2:Cicel then grabs a strong flask of beer and heads to her archives. She's looking on any book on Ancraig Dagdor that she can find. If she's gonna be a slave she better know how deep shit she's in.
3:While there she also looks up on any info on the Lich. Best case scenario she was a humanitarian who was known to shower her followers in wealth, ale , and whores.

RESPONSE
1-3: They're willing to teach you their ways, but you need to prove you really are intending on being good from here on for them to do that. There is a ritual you can undergo, but it is a trial of life and death, and most people die. Its called a Shadow Seance, and basically, it means you fight the dark side of your mind in life or death combat. It involves taking a drug that might kill you, fighting an intense duel with numerous inner demons as it were, which might kill you, then surviving the come-down and withdrawal symptoms of the drug, which might kill you.

CLOVIS

RESPONSE
The hugest fomorian you've ever seen, with a club foot, three fingered small withered right hand, hump back, flabby patches of blubber, wirey hairs everywhere, a really big nose, and a mouth like a lamprey, doesn't even try to communicate with you. He just hits you with no warning. Knocked out cold.

Fortunately you aren't dead. When you regain consciousness, you are sitting on a treasure pile in the biggest room you've ever seen. As your senses adjust, you find yourself mano y mano to a 180 foot long Reddish Yellowish winged dragon with glowing red eyes and claws big enough to grab a castle tower and crush a whole room.

It isn't hard to figure out who you're looking at. Thurgus Goldglut, the destroyer of castles Wysen and Eireford. The bane of merchants. What is hard is to find out why you haven't been roasted and eaten, or whatever horrific thing Thurgus has in mind.

"...I see you're awake, Graxis." A voice speaks with no obvious source. You can tell its Thurgus's voice by the way the huge-o-gigantonormously reallyreallyreallyreallybig dragon looks at you.

DRUZA
Action 1: Now that i've armed myself and the remains of my tribe we shall look for weak enemies and kill and completely destroy them in the most horryfing and the most terrible ways you can imagine

Action 2: Gather the strongest orcs and goblins, my plan is to form a squad base thing where the stronger the strong orcs will control 5 goblins and the strongets orcs will form my own bodyguard unit

Action 3: Fight moar (same plans as first action)

RESPONSE
1. While wondering about, you come to a hidden village of halflings. In a single bloody orgy of violence, you destroy them utterly. Everywhere you look you see them getting their organs literally stomped out of their bodies, their bodies getting torn apart, them getting eaten alive, and them getting impaled and roasted on fires. You're actually a little surprised by how fierce and vile your troops are when a child that can't be more than a few months old is torn from its mothers arms and then thrown head-first against the ground and stomped on.

2. Your force is now divided up into actual units with fixed numbers of troops and a group of officers who are directly under your specific command. Instead of just a big hoard. Your bodyguard group is small, it consists of exactly 3 individuals, all 3 of whom are fairly elite.

3. You find a huge wagon with a crew of humans trying to get it out of a mud pit in the road. After you kill the menials, you find yourself in possession of 10 months of food. It must be for an army or something. You realize to your utter horror that the seal on it belongs to Gurgeisach the Desolator, the grandson of Eigar Lord of the steppes. Its about to get ugly. Real ugly.

HINT: make sure that Gurgeisach and his forces DON'T find you.

GLITTERSHINE
You forgot to roll, so I rolled for you. You rolled a 52, an 81, and a 43.

1:"Ashvael. At the moment I am tired angry and hungover. I more or less just sold my soul to keep the people of this city alive.

RESPONSE
1. Not a total failure, most of the people who are resentful are resentful because they're loyal to the old government. After a quick and simple public bitch slapping when Ashvael told the ghosts and wights they were traitor rebel saboteurs, thats over with, for now.

2. Pretty deep shit. When the first undead in the world were created by Tochradis, the prince of all fevers and plagues, Xanaxak, the prince of all necromancies, and Eidarutam, the prince of all hell conjuration, Xanaxak gave them a simple language called Ancraig Dagdor, which consisted of a confusing mess of words corrupted into a hideous parody of a language. Supposedly it harms a mortal to even speak it, and speaking it even a little bit can seriously harm your constitution score. 3 high level demon princes in one situation. You're in ultra massively deep shit.

3. History books present Lyrane as an insane killer who sacrificed whole villages to Eidarutam and much later Xanaxak. This was done by ritual dismemberment, ritual disembowlment, ritual burying alive, and ritual hanging. She ruled over a large area she inherited from her mother, but was cast out for her "absolute lack of moral character and sadistic insanity". Some less reputable sources say that she was beautiful enough that she caught either Eidarutam or Xanaxak's sexual attentions, and that another demon, Iphosay, the demon princess of poisons, lich'd her without lyrane's advanced knowledge of what was going to happen as a means of forcing one of the men involved to keep his hands off her so Iphosay could have him for herself again.

Iphosay MIGHT help you out in this situation. Or meddle in it and make it a thousand times worse. Demons are like that.

RESPONSE
1-3: The oceans limitless reaches expand downward into the depths as well, it appears, since the only ground you're able to find is huge floating "asteroids" that are coral reefs. There are numerous huge creatures here, such as whales and krakens, very large numbers of fish, and lower and deeper, very large numbers of sea dragons, fish men, crab men, and underwater beholders.

RESPONSE
1. A small, but not weak, army forms. Its mostly of volunteers of various sorts. Surprisingly, humans, elves, and animals make up the vast majority of it.

2. Mages practice a group fighting spell called Sticks to Snakes, which turns a handful of sticks into deadly vipers.

3. On the way there, you come to a desolated valley overgrown with plants. In the valley is a huge broken hill. It is the burial mound of Ugnux, eater of worlds, the very first Sporoloth ever. So either it has raised up as an undead, or it was simply hibernating, and not dead, after its ancient defeat several thousand years ago. This is not a good sign, as Ugnux will quickly produce an offspring population of Sporoloths.

Well. Thats probably what you're being summoned about. This can't be good.

You forgot to roll, so I rolled for you. You rolled a 52, an 81, and a 43.

1:"Ashvael. At the moment I am tired angry and hungover. I more or less just sold my soul to keep the people of this city alive.

RESPONSE

1:"I'll hold out on brining demons into it yet. Those fuckers are unpredictable. Why can't they all be devils, they at least keep their word." She then looks up what the symbol she was branded with means, and what sort of spell, the Lich put on her.
2:"Should probably look into this ring that Dubhdon gave me. It might be something special I over looked from the last time."
3:After done researching she returns to her chamber and sets Ashvael to the task of finding any remaining kingdoms left in the underdark. Hopefully she can get them to side with the Lich before she has to resort to force.

I haven't forgotten you, we've just progressed enough that everyone has at least a small role to play in the overall story, so it's difficult to go forward until everyone has posted.

MANDINGO
1-3: This has to go well.
I really don't like dying.
I mentally prepare myself, and hope that I can cast in the shadow seance.

RESPONSE

You didn't die, but you were horribly injured, so horribly injured that even though you defeated your dark side and changed alignment to good, you are comatose for four days, after which months of healing must be undergone. Your career as an adventurer is over, as you've taken a proverbial "arrow to the knee" that's effectively ended your adventuring career.

You may continue play with a new character, as we discussed in PM. This character will be subject to approval, and I need to see fluff written up for him, but the basic concept you disclosed is workable.

ASHKUN
1-3; That's a bit scary~! I've never fought or played with any dragons or beholders! I've never even met another kracken! I think maybe I'll just play near the coral reefs and have fun~

RESPONSE
You narrowly manage to hide from a leviathan, a whale like monster that is more than 7 times as big as you are. The awesome, legendary being gives you pause. It is said by mortals that the leviathan's tail is so large it creates tidal waves when it is thrashed above water. The stunning, awesome sight quiets your mind and fills you with a sense of grandeur and majesty. Unfortunately for you, leviathans do not share an alignment with you, and would probably attack you if they saw you.

In other news, a fine meal of giant oysters is found, and with your numerous limbs, they're easy prey, if a bit snappy and grumpy.

You found 3 large pearls, each roughly the size of a watermelon.

DRUZA
Action 1: Recruit more units
Action 2: Raid more halflings
Action 3: Hide from the desolator

RESPONSE
>1: You are presented with a choice, after searching the region. You could hire a party of Ogres, huge warriors who attack with stones and clubs and don't wear armor, but are each around 16 feet tall and big enough that for most mortal races, armor does no good. OR, You could hire a much smaller (single digit) group of Drider Mages, which cost a lot more, but which cast Giant Web and Toxic Rain.

Note: Toxic rain summons magic rain from above, it works regardless of weather. Giant web is a moderate ranged create-a-huge-spiderweb-instantly type projectile.

>2. You find out the hard way that dwarfs are not halflings. Luckily, you pull your forces back fast enough that only minimal casualties are inflicted by the dwarves, who use gunpowder-grease 1-shot-every-several-hours type primitive guns and pistols.

>3: A village that was over-encroached by the surrounding forest and abandoned is found, it needs cleaning and work to be suitable as a permanent base, but it will work for a temporary hideout.

Note: It is not the same village that Redaeth has been interacting with earlier in the game.

3:After done researching she returns to her chamber and sets Ashvael to the task of finding any remaining kingdoms left in the underdark. Hopefully she can get them to side with the Lich before she has to resort to force.

RESPONSES
1. The mark is a mark of servitude, not a spellcasting mark. Reading the ancraig dagdor made you pass-out tired. When you woke you had aged 2 1/2 years. Any interaction with Ancraig Dagdor, at all, is going to be harmful to your soul.

2. The ring is a ring of empowerment, giving you four immediate level-gains. Unfortunately you didn't roll the perfect 100 you needed to identify it fully, and when you slipped the ring on your finger (as is normal for such a ring), you were also mentally connected to the Dark Lord (who is currently inside the fortress of tyranny). It doesn't instantly overthrow your mind, but you will never be able to remove the ring without uncursing it, and if the dark lord chooses to, he may mentally command you at any time. Dubdon's ring was a trap.

EDIT: You did gain the four levels.

3. 8 of the 14 drow cities in your kingdom join with you. You need to tour them to know what specifically all they have (though this can be done with a single action+roll).

1-2-3. "I see that you've heard of me, I am honored, why am I here, where is my horde?"

RESPONSE
Thurgus cuts straight to the point. "Your hoard is defeated, dispersed to the four winds, or dead. What I want with you is that you are to be my champion at a gladiatorial bout. It is the only reason you are still alive, so I recommend you accept this." Thurgus then breathes fire with no warning, melting several tons of treasure instantly into a big blob, which then cools and hardens a short time later. "You'll be fighting Cudgel the demon's bane. If you lose I shall go beyond simply killing you. Your race will be my slaves, all of them, everywhere, for the next 200 years. If you win, however, you can expect to be showered in treasures and exotic women, as a old friend and sometime rival of mine, Gilaxinaxixazos the thunder-clap, has bet a full 1/4th of her hoard on this fight."

Thurgus looks over at you, rising, feet crushing gold and jewels into shattered powder and flakes as he moves towards you. "Will you fight in the bout?"

REDAETH
1. 3. Using what magic and consulting the Queen of Celestayna we work to either seal or kill the beast.

RESPONSE
1-3: As its turned out, Ugnux had nothing, at all, to do with the summons. You were summoned to answer for the crime of subverting the will of Lolorori, the goddess of nature. Celestayna, in the form of an august, astoundingly beautiful elf queen, presides over the inquiry, which is sort of like a trial, but you aren't actually restrained per se, though guards do take posts at your quarters doors during both day and night, and you can't go anywhere without a minder to follow you around.

Effectively, the gods and goddesses are all 'y u do this', in regards to your summoning more and more green mana. They believe you may be trying to subvert lolorori and become a goddess yourself.

As for your lover Laurylin, she is steadfast by yourself (and in your bed) throughout the whole business.

How do you plead? What do you say? While neither Celestayna nor Lolorori have the power and authority to simply smite you out of existence, another god, Palagus, the god of justice, does, and if suitable evidences "prove" that you really are trying to subvert Lolorori's will and become a goddess yourself, you'll either be smited out of existence, or instantly fall and become a follower of Iphosay, becoming a unseelie dryad, an evil villainous witch type dryad.

How this plays out will be determined by how convincing you are. If you wish to write some convincing fluff and I'm suitably convinced, you'll be allowed to progress without a roll being necessary, since this whole situation is being resolved through dialog.

HOWEVER: if you fall, or are smited, you will have to roll to see if you survived. You haven't fallen yet though.

Dang, this update kicked EVERYBODY in the nuts.

Name: UnkiToomaWoomaLoo (Unky for short)

Unky was born into a small village in a forest, where his insatiable curiosity led to many a tale being told of his exploits. Unfortunately, it took the village just a bit too long to figure out that his curiosity bordered on sadism and had no regard for the lives of others. When Unky reached his adolescent years, people began disappearing from the village. At first, people began looking towards the forest, where some unknown predator may have been lurking, but when the villagers who had gone missing returned as empowered voodoo zombies to raze the village to the ground, it became clear that this was the work of Unky.
After Unky gained the run of the village to himself, using his peculiar mix of science and magic he slowly terraformed the surrounding forest into a swampland, where he resided until recently. He became well known to many as The Witch Doctor, the enigmatic scientist sorceror who specialized in biological alteration. If you went to him, he would cure your ills- or turn you into a science experiment, depending on his mood, and what you had to offer. Unfortunately, recently his swamp has been changing, and not in a way that he liked. The toxic pools and resilient swamp plants were slowly replaced by a sickening surge of greenery. Enraged, Unky tried to fight the slow invasion, but the green mana simply had too much power to be surmounted by cleverness alone. Infuriated, and filled with a sense of loss, Unky now travels to attempt to find the source of the green mana and eradicate it. But of course, learning something new along the way couldn't hurt, and nothing is sacred.

Abilities: I'll leave that up to you, but I would enjoy something involving potions and biological alteration, as well as being very well versed in plastic surgery, in the most fun and twisted way possible.

Should I roll? I'll roll. Mandingo carried out 3 launched of one d100 :

1-2-3. Graxis spends but a moment to think this "offer" through, his only choice is to accept, however there is a problem.
"I accept the offer to fght in your bout, Great Thurgrus, however, there is a problem, my weapon, the warpick in my cell, was given to me by none other than Gabradoluk, and while it is an impressive weapon, if I where to use it against a devout of the gods, as I am sure this Cudgel the demon's bane is, I would quickly find myself smited and in hell, so Mighty Thugrus, I accept your offer, and I will crush this Cudgel in your name, however, I will require a new weapon."
Graxis's tone remained calm as he explained his predicament to the dragon, he kept the dragons gaze and refused to look away, the dragon wants him for his strength, no weakness will be shown.

Ashvael's quest for Dubdon is a whole other storyline. He does eventually find him, but its years later halfway across the world. Sending Ashvael on this errand effectively removes him from your game.

However, a person of your stature within your kingdom will automatically and as a background process random-gen a new assistant type person for you. So you would get another one.

Are you sure you send him on this errand?

Also; Ashvael's quest to find Dubdon could be done in adventures & quests sometime if it was desired.

I'll pass Ashvael is to bro to do it. Change my action to

You forgot to tell me what monstrous race you were.

Other than that, I see nothing worth vetoing the character over. Your character is approved once you select a monstrous race to use. You will have abilities similar to those of a witch doctor (diablo 3). I will give you a specific list at a later time.

1. 3. Plead not guilty

I have not used the mana to empower myself, only to grow the forests faster then they would normally. I shall continue to use it to reverse millennia of damage and abuse and that will take power. A great deal of power.

My followers do not worship me, they believe in my cause and follow for that reason. I have gathered them under that banner and for no other reason.

I have raised no temples in my name, nor do priestesses shout my praises to the heavens. I have not asked my followers to stop worshiping the gods and goddesses they do and will not ask such.

I might not worship Lolorori myself but I love her for what she has wrought, she is responsible for much of the beauty in this world. I would never seek to usurp her.

I do not wish godhood, and swear on my soul that is so. I am happy as a Nymph and would not change that.

Thats fine. PM'ing you your abilities list now.

'Goth approved.

Caveat: The infernal regions your parent was from are a physical location possible to reach simply by digging down far enough and reaching the land of the dead and Naestr. They require no planar or teleportational travel of any sort (though you could teleport into them if you had the mind to do so).

Was that everyone? If it was, I'll go ahead and update, either today or very soon.

GLITTERSHINE
1:"You know. Fuck it. I'm being possessed by two different evil beings. Why not go for three? Ashvael get the Summoners ready I need to find a demon." Contact that demon I heard about

2:"Also prepare a shrew. I need to go take a look to see what  the new cities have to offer."

3:Lastly Cicilian goes to tell the Real Queen (B)Lich about the progress and Cicilian's experience with the ring

RESPONSES
1. According to a book called The Diaboliamibus, by an unknown author who's name is simply a complex rune, you need four things to summon iphosay. You need a sprig of hemlock, the blood of a doe, a powdered spider, and a magic circle that the light of the moon touches. The way it is phrased indicates to you that captured moonlight (well within your peoples magical knowledge) may work as well. Thats to summon Iphosay personally. To summon a mephit messenger to simply request an audience, you need a scrap of black mold (deadly, a monstrous mold), a chalice of blood mixed with tears, and a fire, which you put out with the mixture while invoking her. The book indicates the mephit that will appear is made entirely out of rotting fungus and will convey your message to her.

Ashvael tells you, "I found the book in a secret compartment in a house, it was so old it was covered with spiderwebs and dust. I also found this." He then shows you a terrifying dagger that looks like it was made by a torn out spine.

2. The 8 cities you control produce; iron ore, coal, beer&wine, stone crafts & furnishings, Emeralds and onyxes of simple to middling quality, fighting men, giant spiders, and books.

3. The liches court is a dismal castle's audience hall, a dizzying array of terrifying undead making up almost all the courtiers, with a few scattered beholders and one mind flayer. Ghoul lords, Subordinate liches, and Specters make up all the important camps. "I see. You will set about to find the dark one and release him. Dubdon is a mere trickster and of no concern to us. He is an unseelie, and you will probably never encounter him again."

EDIT: the lich is not aware of the book or the dagger unless you tell her. She is in the land of the dead, which you traveled to. Its a smelly, horrible place filled with rotting decay, wandering corpses, and the foul odor of cremation, as well as dark and damp, with water flowing in from above and in some areas lava flowing in from above, in the landscape in general. The dismal castle is safe (ish).

CLOVIS

RESPONSE
1-3: "Interesting. But he is hardly a holy man. He is a rogue. They call him the demon's bane because he only targets demons and 'evil-doers' to steal from. His weapon though, is quite harmful. He has an Ivory socketed long-sword of evil smiting. It will be interesting to see you fight him."

You are aware that ivory adds a significant bonus to the damage when it is used against anything evil, undead, or demonic. Its not an insta-gib, but if you get hit by it more than once or twice you'll have trouble.

"I suggest you eat and rest well. A family of huge spiders has taken up residence in an area of the cave I no longer use. You will use your weapon to clear them out. You will allow any lemures that result to remain. You suppose yourself to be much more important in the grand game than you actually are, the weapon you have, a weapon of lemure creation, is Gabradoluk's standard offer. A quarters has been prepared for you. You will see an elder orb, an ancient beholder. He is not your enemy, simply my servant, though you won't be interacting with him, at least, not at first."

The dragon mutters something unintelligible. FOOF. Two fire elementals appear to take you to your quarters.
